The sketches made by hand is brainstorming in its’ purest form, and an essential tool in the art of formgiving.

JMH Tegnestue swear by making as much as the design process by hand, including hand drawn pencil sketches by the hundreds and handmade miniature models manufactured out of the model studio in northern Zealand. Visualizing a design is a complex process, but by giving the ideas and concepts life by hand, in models and in sketches, it becomes less so. The wandering and ever-changing minds of the designer finds an outlet in the physical for the all his ideas. Being able to construct an entire furniture 1:1 when an idea occurs is a great opportunity, and a thing cherish before the design ends up as a 3D drawing.
